MobiForms is a rapid application development (RAD) tool for mobile applications on Tablet PC, Pocket PC, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, EPOC, Symbian and Palm. MobiForms lets you develop professional applications for asset collection, field service, inspection, market research, site surveys, stock management and workshop management. Inexpensive solutions can be built in minutes instead of days with the intuitive MobiForms graphical drag and drop interface. MobiForms uses Java, but the Java layer is totally hidden from the developer leaving you to concentrate on high-level business logic and the application look and feel.
The latest release of MobiForms now includes a new Deployment Wizard for Pocket PC, Windows CE and Windows Mobile. With the Deployment Wizard a user can manage the development of a mobile application from design right through to deployment on to the mobile device without having to worry about manually configuring complicated files.
MobiForms 3.11 also includes networking functionality so that client-server mobile applications can be built using serial, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi or mobile phone connections. The MobiForms integrated MobiScript language includes file, data transfer and email commands using any given IP address and port combination with TCP/IP. A new image object type now adds support for JPG and GIF files. The MobiForms Developer has also been enhanced with the latest Windows look and feel.
This latest release complements the existing features in MobiForms such as signature capture, sophisticated MobiScript commands enabling bar coding, connectivity to Oracle, Sybase and IBM DB2 databases, or simple ASCII file access. The MobiForms development environment also includes features such as a colour palette and font chooser so that you can apply attributes directly to buttons, check boxes, fields, labels and lists.
MobiForms is supplied with a Windows development environment and a runtime environment for Windows, Tablet PC, Pocket PC, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, EPOC, Symbian or Palm. For more information see the MobiForms web site at www.mobiforms.com.
